Many of you know Ken Kohl, one of our former bloggers here at The Silver Bullet. Ken's writing showed his huge passion for all things Ohio State, but he also used this platform to make Buckeye Nation aware of some great causes and ways to pay it forward. We recently got an email from Ken about a situation hitting his family close to home, and we wanted to pass it on to make you aware of a way you can step up in a big way. Check out Ken's comments below:

Dave, Drew;

That was some game Saturday, wasn’t it? The good news (the win) got even better (Braxton deemed symptom-free) as the day wore on. Unfortunately, the news was tempered a good bit.

To shorten the story a good bit, I found out yesterday afternoon that my cousin who lives with her family in the Columbus area, Kim Roper, has had a recurrence of her non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. She is in dire need of a bone marrow transplant. She has no siblings, so that type of match is out of the question.

There is an appeal for people to be tested, and hopefully able to be in a position to donate. Information is on this website for information. Hopefully, your readers, the BBN community and Buckeye nation can be of help. Thanks for giving me the blog space.

Regards,

Ken
